The following is a progress report I received from Celeste Edwards from the Baltimore area.   My comments are in BLUE. 

 

Gary ... Are you sitting down? ... Guess so since you're at the computer.

I've finally done it! You'll be so proud.  I'M STARTING MY WEEKLY SPOM MEETINGS beginning next Tues evening.  And, would you believe, I can't believe how many are coming already!  I'm having nightmares about where to put everybody.  Just started asking 2 days ago.

Celeste has a desire to become a Master Coordinator and this step is going to help her beyond anything I could say. I guess my thought is this - once a person has the true desire in their mind and heart to really move toward towards a major vision/goal, they make decisions other people only consider making.  A weekly or bi-weekly SPOM (Shaklee Products Opportunity Meeting) will help Celeste grow like never before.

Director Teresa Testerman will be joining me (& she has someone interested) along with a former Business Builder Nancy Murphy, both of whom went to the NY meeting with me.  I also have a new prospect I met when I put an ad in paper to sell my tons of packing peanuts.  She's an engineer who has four kids and works a distance from home.  She & her husband also own a mail store, so she's quite busy.  When she called to say she would be there, she told me she has a friend who is interested in coming. 

Amazing things happen when decisions are made. Some people say in today's world people don't/won't attend meetings because they are to busy. Nothing could be further from the truth.  People follow leadership and leaders will do one thing and that is LEAD. When you find the right people, they will do the right things. Celeste is leading!

I've been helping a second level under Director Emily Lee as he moved through the evaluation process after his wife became a Member to purchase products.  He has purchased the Fast Start Wellness Distributor Kit, and we will be starting the Fast Start training via the phone today.  He lives a bit of a distance-- almost 60 miles, but when I mentioned the meeting, he said, "Sure, I'll be there." 

People who are serious will attend. What a great example of this  as he lives 60 miles from Celeste. Working in-depth pays off doesn't it?  As does leadership.

Spoke with reverted Director Betty Patrick to ask if I could call one of her Members who has a web site, and it ended up with Betty calling the gal who is interested in getting started. So, Betty is now re-thinking becoming active again and will be joining us. 

A  very powerful example of what leadership can do.  Betty is re-thinking about becoming active again.  My guess is that Betty will build her business back up to the Director level and as long as there is leadership in the area, meaning Celeste doing meetings, Betty will now go beyond the Director level.  Others will follow because meetings are the lifeblood of this business.  The people who do meetings on a regular basis are the people you will hear about as the months roll by.

There are a couple more interested people, & I have a few more calls to make ---
I guess you get the drift.  "If you build it, they will come". 

I do get the drift Celeste and I am also very proud of you for stepping out and making a decision that will help the people in your organization move their business and that means THEY will earn more, as well as help many others.
