We have always seen Shaklee as a Leadership Business…that is, a business where we can become Leaders. However, in order to develop an organization of downline Sales Leaders, it's not enough that WE become leaders. We need to provide a track to run on where OTHERS can easily become leaders.
That's the Leadership Track. It is the Leadership Track where organizations of downline Sales Leaders are generally developed.
To develop a Shaklee organization of leaders, we can't do everything ourselves. We need to extend leadership responsibilities to others. We need to raise up replacements for ourselves…in Shaklee, those replacements are called downline Directors and Coordinators.
The best way we have found to launch a new leader is to have them JUMP IN!!! Don't make them wait until they're trained. Get them involved.
What is the right time? After a Member has made the commitment to get involved building a business, they've attended some SPOM's, sponsored 3 to 5 new Distributors/Members and have had 1 or 2 In-Homes in their own home.
How did we do that? Almost all of the Sales Leaders we personally appointed STARTED HOLDING SPOM MEETINGS IN THEIR OWN HOME BEFORE THEY QUALIFIED TO BE APPOINTED. We were responsible for the first couple of meetings and then they carried on after that…however, we continued to show up on a regular basis. At first it might have been every other week, then once a month, then maybe 2, 3 or 4 times a year.
